The chance to showcase your talent in Nottingham Gang Show 2023!

Gang Show offers a unique experience of performing on a professional theatre stage for young people and leaders of Scouting and Guiding aged 8yrs and above.

Gang Show is a fast paced, lively family variety show that has a senior cast numbering close to 140 aged 10.5yrs and over, a junior cast of around 50 aged 8 – 10.5yrs – all supported by a volunteer back stage crew of over 100.

You will perform dance routines, musical numbers and comedy sketches on the Nottingham Theatre Royal stage for a whole week.

There is an audition process that will assess your abilities in:

- Basic dance

- Singing

- Acting and characterisation

Everyone, irrespective of ability, is welcome to come and audition and we promise to support those that are particularly nervous or have additional learning needs, through the audition process, rehearsals and the week of the show.

What we need from you:

High level of commitment – rehearsing all day every Sunday and Tuesday evenings
Willingness to learn and practice dance routines and songs
Available for the dress rehearsal (Sunday 05/03/23) and all 7 show performances (06/03/23 – 11/03/23)

Nottingham Gang Show will give you:

Completion of badges and awards – including Duke of Edinburgh Award
Chance to make new friends
Performing on a professional theatre stage
A chance to learn new and improve existing performing arts skills

If you are successful in becoming a cast member for Gang Show 2023, there will be an activity fee of £35 per person.

Age Guidance:

Junior Gang minimum age 8 yrs old by dress rehearsal.

Senior Gang minimum age is school YR6 by dress rehearsal.
